Just throwing this out there...

As I re-watched the 2008 Olympic team finals, it might be easy to throw the bulk of the blame on A-Sac that the U.S. lost the gold.

HOWEVER,

At second glance, look at the 2007 Worlds. We won the gold here without Shawn's Amanar, and with two mishaps on beam, one from Shawn and one from Nastia. When you look at things in that light, I think you have to forgive A-Sac. She hit as well as Nastia and Shawn in prelims in '08, and hit in '07 when both of them didn't. It's amazing we won the gold in '07. As a whole, we looked better in '08. We got really lucky, and the Chinese were not as good in '07. Just sayin'....

And would someone please, please explain to me how Emilie LePennec not only won the gold on UB in '04, but how she even had a 10.0 SV. BS!!!

Not cool, Em.

If you add up the deductions for Alicia's 2 falls, her oob, and the missed sv on beam, and then also include Shawn's and Nastia's oob's, and give Chellsie her sv on bars, china still would have won. With a fall. I think that says something about how good China was...

Yea, wow...I hadn't done the math per se, but, wow... where did we go wrong? Could we have done anything better? Where was our weakness? Anyone?

Well it didn't help that half our girls were injured... If Chelsie and Sam were healthy, and we had Shayla instead of Bridget (not to take anything away from Bridget, she did a GREAT job), then maybe... but I think that China would still have to mess up, at least i little.

What's the problem with Emilie LePennec's starting value? She had a Def-Hristakieva release and a double-double as dismount. That adds up a lot.

I like you post it to much Be consistent, be kind and be deliberate. Don’t ask “Can everyone come to the center of the room?” If you ask a question, be prepared for various answers, like “no!” Instead give the children a task to complete. “Everyone come to the center of the room in low level” or “choose a traveling step to the center of the room and end in a pointy shape.”Gymnastics Programs For Kids
